Raiders call Code 13 for kit

Below is the first showing if the North Devon Raiders' inaugural kit for 2010.

Manufactured by London based Code13, the distinctive jersey is Royal Blue and Yellow with a White crew neck collar.
Designed by Raiders PRO Keith Fillingham, the jersey incorporates the colours of North Devon.... the blue of the sea and sky with the yellow of the sun and sands with the sweeping vee representing the convergence of the Rivers Taw and Torridge.

"As a new club I felt we needed a distinctive kit and colour scheme" commented Fillingham "and with no other club in the South Western League playing in Royal or Yellow we have negated the need for a change strip."
It was also felt that the colours of the new club should be distinct from their hosts, Barnstaple RFC.
"From previous experience, attracting players and supporters would have been made more difficult if we had chosen the name or colours of one of the local Union clubs. Players feel uneasy playing for what is perceived as a "rival" club so, whilst we are grateful for the help and support of Barnstaple RFC we are ai dstinct club of our own with a constitution and separate committee."

The jersey will be matched with Royal Blue shorts and Royal socks with three yellow bands on the turnover.
The secondary sponsor area has been donated to SOS Children's Villages, the Club's chosen charity for 2010.
